I give this picture 5 stars because it is a very detailed photograph of a historic event. It also gives a very upclose view. The standard NASA views are long shots as opposed to this. GREAT SHOT!

Outstanding shot to get that close up, but it really is time that old thing was retired, don't you think? If it was an airliner it would have been grounded years ago.

Amazing. To think they will be gone in a few years....Fantastic engineering to penetrate the Earth's atmosphere and come back.

Probably one of the best post-landing pix of any Shuttle ever.

The high detail shows all the tiles and such that make up the "skin" of Discovery. It's not as perfect looking as the mind believes it should be.

A battle-weary spaceship. Very cosmic.

If you rode a flying bomb into space and then tried self basting in the hottest bbq on earth on the way back down you might look a bit crispy around the edges too!! Great Shot!!

You can really see the signs of the super heated plasma on the spaceship, sad that these beauties will stop flying next year. Love you Discovery!

Amazing... sad that the shuttles are soon getting out of service. NASA does not seem to realize that retiring them and putting a non-reusable craft in substitution means doing a 30-year-step backwards.

Long live the USA & the space shuttle!
