I don't know what to think really. It's a nice picture but I don't think taking pictures immediately after rotation is a good moment. It's still a crucial moment of the flight. The passengers aren't allowed to take pictures during take-off or landing so why would it be different for pilots?

Great picture show the intense work of the captain! But, as the F/O, is it the moment to focus on the rotation?

Great shot but you have to wonder how the FO has time to take pictures as the aircraft rotates. Also, after V1 the protocol is for the captain to take his right hand off the thrust levers and place it on the yoke. Why is he grabbing the arm rest?

Unlike others, I don't see anything particularly unsafe in this photo. Today's digital cameras are very small and can easily be dropped into the side bin if the need arises. The Capt's hand position?....come on. This guy looks cool, calm, and collected. I don't see anything wrong here. For extra bracing I put my hand up on the glare shield to steady myself during taxi of the 757 with it's long steering tiller.

Awesome shot, I love all the analouge instruments. And to all the critism... I rather fly with a FO that has a passion for flying and maybe uses a couple of seconds to make a nice photo - than a FO that just does his job and has no passion for it !

Not a bad shot. But, pretty clear that it was not taken "immediately after rotation". Looks like at least 1500' AGL to me. Which is just as well because, no, I would not want my F/O snapping pics at V2

The picture itself gives a nice view of the action and the cockpit of this classic aircraft, but '3 seconds to take this pictures' is a long time in this early stage of flight were attention is required.

Beautiful shot love the action here. I only wish
Iran Air could obtain new aircraft. They deserve it.

This is an awesome photo! Actually the plane is at 1100 feet as you might notice the Altimeter (~800 feet AGL). The Autopilot#1 is ON and the Captain is safeguarding the yoke. This is quite normal to safeguard the controls below 10000 feet. Thanks Watson for the photo..
