The Maharaja thundering down R27 for her departure to Hyderabad from Mumbai International. Air India and SpiceJet have the tradition of naming their aircrafts, Air India names their aircraft's after Indian States and SpiceJet names their aircraft's after Spices and Condiments. Seen here is the 24 year old yet elegant, Pratt & Whitney powered Air India's B747-400, VT-ESP named Ajanta. Air Indian sadly now has only 3 active B744s. Photo taken during my first Airside visit.
