Arriving in Delhi Terminal 3- International

Image

I was transiting through Delhi. Since the Sydney flight got delayed had 30 mins to get on the next flight. I went to the transit check-in for domestic passengers after completing immigration and customs upon arrival. Check-in was easy, was a min away after exiting the customs, I was the only passenger who was check-in didn't take long. Got the gate details and my luggage checked to the Mumbai flight. Was directed to departure via lift in the Check-in area.

After taking the lift to level 2. I was in the Domestic Departure area.

Had to pass security. Had my bag scanned by security. After the scan, the security person asked for the tag. I said "The check-in person did not give me a baggage tag", realised I'm in India. Security stamped a Jet Airways tag and handed to me. I was in a rush to reach the gate, don't remember what was there after security. Looked at the airport map on wall and headed for the gate.

When I arrived at the gate, boarding display was final call. Others had already boarded as the flight was not full. I was sweating after the run I had made to be on this flight.

Boarding

Got settled in the assigned seat. The flight was partially full, had two empty seat next to me.

A nice report - when did you fly this flight? I realized that AI have downgraded meal presentation lately, but you seemed to have had a nice dinner and a proper dessert which I believe is non-existent now apart from a piece of Nestle chocolate. I'm wondering if AI still serve a hot meal on DEL-BOM sector for lunch/dinner? I had a snack-time flight on the same sector in June 2017, which was a small piece of cold sandwich as the main, although an appetizer of potato chaat and a brownie were attached to it (previously a hot snack + sandwich + chocolate). And now, no more non-veg., only veg. option. A lot of confusion about AI domestic meals lately!

Flew in Sept 2015. Read recently the meals are downgraded to veg only.

Thanks for posting. The food didn't look all that great, though. Nothing like a standing crowd!
