This was a trip I completed a long time ago but never had the time to report on. It was quite well reported at the time. Just thought I would share my experince. When Swiss announced they would be using this aircraft for training flights I knew I had to try. A cheap ow Y ticket was purchased and then upgraded later on for a reasonable fee. Day started arriving ZRH at 0700.

Went to older SWISS lounge as it was early, quiet and empty.

Take off noise is always impressive on the 77W and this one was no different.

VERDICT : Really enjoyed the flight. Seat nice, IFE was easy to use & entertaining and crew enthusiastic on board this new aircraft (At the time!). Felt lucky to have tried at a good price. Another widebody around Europe to add to the list. Cheers

Nice TR, I'm a little gutted I missed out on these 77W flights within Europe, although I think it is sometimes kicking around between GVA-ZRH still, may have to keep an eye out. I did GVA-FRA last year on Swiss J on the usual Airbus and enjoyed it, so I imagine the 777 would have been even better.

Thanks for a great trip report. That looooong bar is something I'd love to experience. Great pictures of the aircraft and lounge, too. Thanks for sharing!
