Vienna - Frankfurt | Austrian Airlines | Includes Business Lounge review in VIE

This is the Trip Report of my flight from Vienna (Austria) to Frankfurt (Germany) on an Austrian Airlines Airbus A320.

The trip started on the Austrian Airlines Business Lounge at Vienna airport. Overall it is a good Business Lounge, as it includes all the main services (showers, catering, rest-room, computers, WiFi, many different drinks, quite good views of the Apron, meeting rooms...) but it wasn't the best I've seen in Europe. The worst aspect, in my opinion, is that there's no more than 1 option for hot food. With 1 or 2 additional options it would be a lot better.

After boarding by the automatic gates we got into the A320 and, without any delay, took off to Frankfurt from runway 29, heading directly to Vienna city. That allowed us to have some awesome views of the city from a low altitude.

Another aspect that I've enjoyed a lot on this flight was the "cloud surfing" during the climb to cruise level. That moment, when the plane is just over the clouds, is magic. Awesome.

The catering on board was composed of a cold or hot drink (plus water) and a salty or sweet snack. A bit lacking but it's only a 1h flight. I think a sandwich could be better for the prices they have.

After a descent between some huge clouds, we started to see Frankfurt downtown and its skyline. A couple of minutes after those views, we landed softly on runway 25L. After leaving the runway, we had the luck of watch in first person the rotation of a Boeing 747 just some meters in front of us.

The taxi to our gate took us around 8-10 minutes.

I really enjoy flying with Austrian Airlines but especially in this flight, I must say that the cabin crew was extremely kind with the passengers. They really showed us that they love their work and that's something that, consciously or unconsciously, the passengers likes a lot; making the trip a great experience.

I know that in this forum many people prefer the photo-reports to the video-reports, but I would like to ask you to give this one a chance. I'm sure you'll enjoy the 4K video review.
