First Screening Doubt...

Wed Jun 01, 2016 8:23 pm

Hi all,
I have a question regarding this last rejection:

https://www.airliners.net/addphotos/r...160601_s1464032294.656j-3210-2.jpg

This pic passed the first screening, but then was killed with:

Quality
Blurry
Soft
Centered

Let me say that High in frame is intentionally to show the exaust jet of two planes but my question is:
Is possibile that a pic that has passed first screening is affected by so much rejection motivation??
Usually with 4 problem I don't think to appeal but I'm very surprised to pass from acceptance doubt to 4 rejection issue..
Probably I don't understand what is the first screening .. If is it sorry.

All 4 rejections reasons are correct in my opinion.

It is possible (as you noticed with your photo). If a second screener disagrees with the first screener and also sees more flaws than the first screener, then the result will be a numbers of rejection reasons, even though it passed a first screening.

So,

Do You agree with the 4 rej reason?
I suppose that If I ask to first screener If the photo is recoverable he probably say yes, but the second will say to me no due to detected heathaze...
Is there someone that want to give an opinion on what I have to do with this pic?
I have to forget it following 2nd screener or I could try to change something and hoping to be screened by 1st screener ??
Thank's a lot for every suggestion

And for what it's worth, I agree with the reasons as well. It looks blurry, and you could have moved the aircraft significantly lower in frame while still showing the exhaust plumes.

Don't put too much emphasis on "Photo passed first screening". That wording can be very misleading.

Since it looks blurry, I wouldn't bother uploading it.

Ok probably I don't understand very well what is the first screening, but from what Kas wrote before I understand that screeners could have a very different opinion on a photo, acceptance or rejection often depend on which screener proceda your pic. I understand that is impossible to have an identical opinion, what surprised me was that a photo that pass a first screen, was rej then with 4 motivation!
Thank's for reply, I try to fix or change frame..

The first screener may have viewed the image and given it an SO (Second Opinion) questioning the flaws. "Passed first screening" only means it was looked at, not that the first said "hey this is amazing' and the second said "no way".

"Welcome to Airliners.net screen world"!!!! There are 25 screeners and 6 headscreners here. The current policy process screen is screen criteria is "subjective" (The favorite word of screeners). This makes you can get 41 different opinions screeners to the same picture. This makes each photo get accepted here a lottery. And any editing method definitive.

A lottery that you seem to have 'won' nearly 4,500 times!

I would advise not to.
You did fix the centering, but the quality is still poor and it also still looks blurry.

Quoting ricox (Reply 7):
is quite cropped

This is your most likely culprit.

Ok Kas Thank's,
Only another question, when you say poor quality is because of specific defect or you mean the "idea" of the photo, example, took from behind ... Angle...
Because is not easy to obtain less crop with this kind of pic, I have better quality frame of this take off but onestly much less "spectacular" so I try to spent time in editing this kind in order to upload a photo that can obtain more enthusiasm than a normal one.
Thank's

The angle/idea is fine. It's just that the quality is not good enough.
