Pre-Screening, Piedmont Dash-8

Tue May 24, 2016 6:27 pm

Hi everyone,

I was out at PHL yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised to see this come into 09L. Just thought I'd run it by y'all, as I haven't uploaded anything in a while.

Thanks,

You didn't invite me to join you? lol Nice job catching that one. I have to try and head out to PHL one day to get that. Fear I might not be able to make it down though next until the beginning of Aug.

Might be a little OS. Also that looks more like a 9R landing unless you shot that with a 600mm lens

It looks dark and cyan (see example below (tweaked the levels sliders and used auto color)). It's sharp, but passable for me. And this may be a nitpick item, but would you happen to have an equal quality photo in the sequence that doesn't have the cockpit glare?

Kas, your edit on the right looks to give it too much red. There has to be a place in the middle between the two. I see a cyan tint on the left and a red/magenta cast on the right.

Maybe. I'm looking with morning eyes now, so can't judge (looked fine to me yesterday IIRC). But either way the point was to illustrate that it's dark and cyan. I'm not saying his edit should be exactly like my quick example.

The new half definitely looks better to me, than the original edit, but yes, slightly too red.

Cheers

Kas' version is much better. Yours had too much cyan. Other than that it is passable for me.

Thanks for the tips, guys. Will fix the cast issues and resubmit.
