Post Screening - Centered (jmrebes)

Sat Oct 24, 2009 11:03 am

I can understand "soft" but I can't see why it was rejected by "is not correctly centered in the image". The distance between the tail and the upper border is the same as the distance between the airplane's bottom and the bottom border.

I have carefully read the web page https://www.airliners.net/faq/rejection_reasons.php#centered trying to find out why is not my picture centered, but I'm still confused about that.

Can you help me please?

Thanks,

Jose

I am new at this but I believe that the windows need to bee in the center of the image in a shot like this.

Quoting Jmrebes (Thread starter):
The distance between the tail and the upper border is the same as the distance between the airplane's bottom and the bottom border.

I usually center it around the fuselage rather than adding the tail in the calculation. In your case, the blue above the plane makes the plane look so much lower.

But yeah I'm not sure if the softness can be fully recovered - it looks pretty soft to me.

Cheers,
Nicholas

It's too low in the frame.

If you edit in Photoshop, put some horizontal and vertical ruler guides at 33% and 66%. Use those to center the fuselage of the plane.
