Post Screening - Soft & Dark (chrisyates)

Hello,

I've had a couple of photos rejected due to quality, dark and soft with the first one and dark and soft with the second one.

Admittedly I am very new to this and the standard on airliners.net seems very high. I wonder whether there is an experienced editor out there, who would be willing to offer some help and possibly see what they could achieve with my original images, in exchange for some credit in the photo remarks of course?

I would concentrate on improving captures first. These two pics have no light hitting the subject whatsoever. Light is the basis in photography. Once your captures improve and are of quality to edit for here then you can take the next step.

Agreed. If you had light hitting the aircraft, it would have prevented the reasons for rejection, quality, dark, etc.

Concentrate by keeping your back to the sun for starters.

Thanks for the comments. The sun was always behind us, but unfortunately there just wasn't much of it! Fingers crossed for a better opportunity lighting wise soon.
