Pre Screen - Conor Amoia

Tue Oct 09, 2018 12:06 pm

Hi guys,

Been a while since I was consistently taking pictures at even then my success rate was not the best. I have improved since but would still like some pre screening.
I will be adding to this thread in time with more and more photos.

Thanks for the help,

Conor

Another image for pre-screening. Maybe a bit ambitious after a heavy crop but just thought Id stick it up and see what is said.

Take these all with a grain of salt, I'm new here.

I think these photos look great, but the 747 looks a bit underexposed and the ATR looks a little low in frame.

Hi,
Emirates looks blurryish at the front, a bit soft, could probably do with a little more contrast, and the level looks to me to need CW. Would probably be better at 1400, or possibly okay at current size with some more sharpening, especially at nose. Thai is dark but otherwise looks pretty okay to me. ATR flat, soft/possibly blurry in areas, low in frame.
Hey, thanks for stopping by! My photos can be found here: http://www.airliners.net/search?user=17 ... lay=detail

HI guys,

Thanks for the reply, gonna pull the ATR out from the queue at this point and re sharpen the 77 nose.

Got another brightened version of the 747 here.

For the TG B744, I would add 30% to the whites slider, 10% to exposure, and maybe 10% to contrast (LR settings if you use it).

The VA B738 looks dark/underexposed, blurry, and noisy IMO.

I dont have LR but I have added a touch of brightness and contrast for the re-upload. I have scrapped the 737 pic as that will not make the cut.
I have another pic here from Amsterdam a few years ago. It was an incredibly dark day and I did not shoot in raw and was very inexperienced.
The only reason I'd like the pic to be uploaded is because it is an iconic scene. Maybe if some one felt they could re-edit the original I'd be more than happy to forward it and mention their name in the upload.

That tail photo should be salvagable with some more contrast.

The tail and nose looks a bit blurry unfortunately. Very nice scene though.

The Ethihad A380 looks over sharpened to me.
The R22 looks blurry. Also could use a tighter crop...a lot of dead space that can be eliminated without affecting the composition.

The FedEx MD11 is underexposed...check the histogram. The overall lighting isn't the best for me.

Overexposed in areas, low contrast, jaggies on the leading edge of the winglet and some banding on the top edge. Also could use some CW rotation.
