New plane photographer - need advice

Hi everyone,

My name is Nick and I'm new to aviation photography. I've always been into planes, but I was recently introduced to the world of spotting. I went spotting at my local airport (XNA) last Saturday, and I tried to upload my first shot today. It was a new registration for the database so I submitted it for priority screening, and it was rejected for quality, noise, and underexposed. Do you think this photo could be improved? Or do you have any general advice for a new plane photographer like me?

I'm not a screener and I'm also not a pro at this, but I do see a lot of noise. I'm guessing that you used a really high ISO or you tried to up the exposure a lot. I'm just here to give you a relatively quick response. I'd wait a little longer for someone more experienced to comment. In the meantime, can you attach the exif data?

Hi Nick,

Unfortunately the overall quality for the photo is not very good. It likely has to do with a combination of a high ISO and the poor weather/lighting. I would try to take an image on a sunny day at around ISO 100-200. Guarantee you will get better results.

Blurry, very noisy, underexposed. Will not stand a chance, sorry.
