A little oversharped; not sure whether it is level or if it needs some CCW rotation.

Thank you for your pre-screening feedback.
However, I'm bit confused into what object to select as a CCW rotation, I personally went for the right side of the wall as its straight there also the blue stripes running down from the blue shelter on the left of the helicopter.
Shall I make the roof of the building as the main reference for CCW rotation?
Thanks

Wael.

Image has a yellow color cast for me. Level and sharpening is passable. FYI, I use either a vertical in the center of the frame. If that's not available, I select a distant horizontal reference.

Hi Wael:

My comments below:
1. Qantas 787: Nose is blurry (soft at best). Image also needs more contrast
2. BA 777: Right side of the image has soft elements (engines) and blurred elements (main gear)
3. MEA A330: A littel more contrast and should be acceptable.
4. BA A320:Passable for me.

Cheers,

Jehan

Hi Wael:

1. Qantas 787: contrast looks good, but that nose still is showing blur. Not sure it will pass.
2.BA 777: I still see a lot of blur in the engine, gear and horizontal stabilizer. Again, doubtful it will make it.
3. MEA A330: Should be acceptable.

As for 1 & 2, perhaps you have some other frames that have less blur.

Cheers,

Jehan

Qantas and Eurowings: yes colourful special
BA 744: engines look blurry, don't think the quality is good enough
G-EUPH looks blurry
Others look OK to me.

I agree with this, but the Delta A330 has halos in the corner of the left wing/top fuselage.

I saw some of these photo (QF 787/AC MAX) in the live editing session you did, although I only caught a glimpse of it since I was at work. A very nice and interesting idea, but you seem to put a whole lot of editing into 1 photo.

Hello Kas, thanks for that .. I will surely try to fix the delta
as for the editing honestly, this is the only method I have learned to use on photoshop..
I would love to know if there is a quick and easier way to edit using photoshop as this could save me more time etc
as for the delta with halos .. is there a way to get rid of them?
many thanks once again and have a great day.
Cheers

The 747 shows a significant color difference of the main sky and the sky between the flaps. (orange vs yellow). So I'd give you an editing rejection for that.
The MAX looks nice, although the sky has some circular banding. Would personally say passable.
The B777 is passable for me.

Dusk/dawn/night is only applicable if the sun is still below the horizon. Definitely not the case for the MAX and 747, for the 777 I don't know.

Kas thanks for that, I guess I will have to leave out the 747 for now till I can re-edit and re-upload it
I will leave the Max and 777 the Queue

I'm not very good of a screener, but I'm going to take a guess at those:

Turkish 737 MAX: blurry/soft, borderline underexposed?
Turkish retro: looks quite passable
Gulf Neo: looks passable
MEA: looks passable
ULS Cargo: looks passable
A330 Troy THY: needs CCW rotation
Tunisair A330: same as A330 Troy THY
Royal Maroc 767: could use a little CCW rotation
Emirates 777: low in frame?
Singapore: needs CW rotation
Air Algeria: could use a little CCW rotation
Iraqi B744: slightly low in frame
Kuwait: low in frame, needs CCW rotation
Etihad 787: slightly low in frame; needs CW rotation
Bahrain Royal: slightly low in frame

These opinions are the best of my ability; I will have other screeners better decide on these photos

Generally in agreement with fsx98 re most of them but definitely do not agree with the 'low in frame' opinions - they all look okay to me and could even stand being a bit lower.

One reason why I gave "low in frame" is because although there are planes in the subject on some photos, I'm much more concerned about the open spaces above the subject matter in some.

As I have said in the earlier post, I'm not good in screening photos in this kind of complexity, as I usually take photos of aircraft with no other aircraft in the background.

Hello Everyone,
today I have received some rejections on my uploaded pictures in which to me seemed fine and nothing wrong with them and was wondering if i should appeal most of them or not.
would appreciate your feedbacks
Thanks.

1.https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... 2878a4821b (Low Contrast)
Although the clouds in the background were dark naturally without editing adding contrast would make the picture underexposed or shall I just add more contrast to it?

3. https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... 74923feca3 (Soft - Underexposed)

4. https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... 88b19392ab ( Low Contrast)

5. https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... b5ded03fac (Underexposed)

6. https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... 0bd29cc069 (Soft Vignetting)

HI Wael,

G-VINE: could use a bit more contrast, but passable as-is.
CS-TTA: needs a bit more sharpening. Should be fine after.
G-VKSS: agree. Looks like the sun diseappeared just at that moment, making the airrcaft look darker.
Air Canada: looks like it could use some +10-15 contrast.
UA: +0.20ish exposure and +15 contrast (ballpark figures).
G-RAES: agree on soft, don't see vignetting.
VT-ANI: looks passable

Hello, Everyone,.
I hope your all well,
been to Heathrow on a lovely overcast day just wanted to get some of my shots pre-screened, please as im not sure if they will pass the exposure and levels adjustment since the sky was pretty dark.

1.BA 744 https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... dea249fcf1
2.Delta A330 https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... ecf329d0eb
3.Air Serbia A319 https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... 7c120b95d3
4.Virgin Atlantic A350 https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... e859b4f42a
5.BA A350 https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... 71cbde5137
6.BA 744 https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... 8d86426284 << Does this classify as a special colour paint ? hence it being a retro
7.Delta A333 https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... e39841b923
8. Kuwait 777 https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... c68ba909a1
9.Emirates A380 https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... f523f4e551
10.MEA A330 https://imgproc.airliners.net/photos/ai ... 0ac7ebb8de

P.S image resize bicubic smother or bicubic sharper which is the best? also 8bit or 16bit when importing to PS using RAW? either of the two do i save a final jpeg as an 8bit or a 16bit
this would be much appreciated since im not too sure which of the two i should use

Thanks Wael

G-CIVR looks not bad for me as it looks bit of High in frame for me.
N-812NW looks fine for me.
Air Serbia A319 has obvious banding effect in the background sky area if you see carefully.
G-VLUX looks not bad for me.
G-XWBB ok for me.
BA744 : Looks ok for me and YES it belongs to C/S Paint in this case.
DELTA A333: Slight banding in the sky area especially left bottom corner. Otherwise fine for me.
9K-AOC: Looks ok for me.
A6-EVH: Ok for me.
MEA A330: Not bad but the color is iffy for me. I would SO this one.

I would tend to choose Bicubic Smoother option between these two options but sometime I adopt some others, it depends for the situation IMO. I would say 8bit looks pretty enough for editing photos like this one in normal computer, and I use 8bit most of time. Would be nice to hear more opinions on these two.

Sincerely,
Harry

Hi Wael,

first- very nice shots, impressive stuff!

Yes, they are for the creative queue and therefore a pre-screen isn't easy as different standards will be applied to them. Maybe one of the ct-team can answer.
For me the both BA772 and the Virgin 346 look overall too blurry to be acceptable and G-YMMI is really blotchy as well
The rest would be nice additions IMO, given the conditions they were shot in.

I agree with Julien regarding the photos, but to me they are not really creative.

Hello gentlemen,
Thanks so much for your time in pre screening.
So i shall leave the BA 744 - Virgin A350 & JAL In the standard queues & remove both BA’s 772 & the virgin A340
Cheers
Wael.

Hi Wael,

generally a very nice photograph and we accept such motives:

Problem is on your version the A320 is really out of focus / blurry and I'd say because of that it won't make it. But maybe Kas or Jehan can give their opinions as well. I would always ask for a second opinion of such a shot upon screening.
