Hi everyone! I have recently received word that my photo of an AA 787-8 at DFW (#5043509) was rejected for the following: motive and noise; in addition, I have the following personal message in regards to why it was rejected: "Sky is still quite noisy. Large sun glare on the fuselage."
I was wondering if it would be possible to edit the photo any further; below is the link to the rejected photo:

I have to agree with the rejections... the sky is definitely noisy and the harsh lighting on the fuselage doesn't help. The underside of the aircraft also looks blurry/hazed.

The quality of the whole picture is not quiet good honestly. Sky is grainy for sure and the strong glare has affected a lot although resucing bit of highlight can alleviate the situation. It seems that most of your images have noise or grainy issue.

The glare looks particularly bad. PErhaps you have a photo from the sequence without it?
And what ISO do you usually shoot at?

This photo is shot at an ISO of 400, though I never pay attention to the ISO most of the time; I have one other photo that has a less severe glare that I can look into.

The higher ISO setting, the more noise you will get. Me personally, noise starts to become a problem when my camera goes above ISO 300. At 400, which you said your image was at, it gets even worse.
The ideal setting is between 100 and 200.

Well, when shooting from a terminal building and through glass, ISO 400 is actually a good idea. This so that you don't end up with a low shutter speed that will make the photos blurry(ish). But of course the camera needs to be able to handle it.

Oops... Kas is right and I’m not, my apologies. I forgot you took this through a terminal window and indeed ISO 400 is the usual setting for those type of images. I will also add that it is noticeablly harder to get the lens to focus on the subject beyond the glass, especially if it’s a taxiing aircraft (based off of my recent experience).

I have another photo of the same 787-8 (#5066941) in a slightly different angle that was also rejected for: color, underexposed, and more significantly, soft and heat haze; I'm pretty sure that heat haze is not fixable, but I was curious if heat haze could be fixable at the same time as fixing the soft rejection?

#5066941 : Colour does look pretty weird/odd. Once a photo meets Heat Haze, it would be hard to fix or even unfixable. So no matter if you could fix Soft, the heat haze is still there.Sometimes when you add more sharpness to a Heat Haze image, heat haze will be more obvious.

Thanks guys; very disappointed that these 787 images aren't fixable and that I was excited to have my first 787 photo accepted to airliners.net with good intentions, but I found this forum helpful before ending up wasting time on photos that cannot be fixed. I still have other photos of the 787 to edit, if they are still editable...
