Noise rejection for a Southwest 737 photo

Tue Apr 17, 2018 4:43 pm

Hi everyone! After working numerous times to perfect this photo of a Southwest 737 landing at MDW, without avail, I still have the photo rejected, this time, only for noise, despite numerous attempts to reduce noise even further. The photo looked fine, but I was wondering if I should attempt to appeal this photo. Any suggestions?

I'll be blunt - it's time to move on, this image is nowhere near the quality needed to be added. The easiest thing to do is compare your image to others in the database.

Good luck.

I have to agree with Royal's blunt approach. The only way you can perfect it is by going back on a sunny day and getting a shot in better light. I'm pretty sure SWA 738s are common as muck at MDW anyway, so it's not like you won't get the chance......

Given those conditions, the noise is just way too prevalent no matter what is done to fix it and it's extremely difficult to fix a photo taken on an overcast day anyways. Whenever I'm out taking a photo and it's really overcast, honestly I don't even bother trying to upload it to here after editing.

Like JakTrax said, and based off of my personal experience, taking a photo on a sunny day will give you much better results.

It looks blurry to me as well. I'd suggest to let it go and try again another day.
