Sun Country 737 Photo Rejection

Wed Apr 11, 2018 3:43 am

Hi everyone! I have a photo of a Sun Country 737 arriving at KCOU for picking up a charter for the Missouri Tigers football team and after numerous attempts to upload the below photo to airliners.net and without success, I have recently received a rejection for the photo being dark and grainy. Any way to improve the photo upon? Let me know what you guys think!

Actually the photos isn't dark but the aircraft looks pretty dark due to the weather and light condition as the weather is overcast which will make the BG brighter than the aircraft so it's tough to deal with. And i think that's the reason that you always get "Dark" recently because the photos that you posted here recently were having the similar weather. Thus, IMO, the best way is to upload some photos taken with better weather and light condition, which will be also easier for you to edit.
For the Noise problem, this one looks not quiet bad to me, but i would recommend to use as low as ISO when you spot although this one is ISO-200. Besides, i don't know what format of photos do u use usually, RAW Format will be better for reducing noise and also can provide better quality. If you shoot those photos with JPEG, i would recommend to change the format into RAW which might help i think.
BTW, the SUN COUNTRY B738 also looks slight Oversharpened to me i think.

Cheers,
Harry

It's also OS and I suspect haze plays a role regarding the marginal quality. The background sky is pretty bright, while the aircraft isn't greatly lit. Honestly I wouldn't bother with this one.
