Delta MD-88 Photo Rejection: Dark rejection

Hi everyone! I'm having trouble with getting the correct level of exposure with this photo of a Delta MD-88 landing at COU; recently I have received a rejection email regarding photo #4931653 because the photo is soft (which is not too concerning, as I would try to sharpen it more), and that the photo is dark, in which after my previous rejection I have increased the exposure level for this photo. Anything to improve the exposure upon? Let me know what you guys think!

In the levels (ctrl L) in Photoshop, I added another +0,15 on the middle slider and +12 on the left slider. It looks better, but the exposure isn't superbad already, just the light not doing you any favors.
