Dirty and low contrast

Sat Mar 17, 2018 12:55 pm

I really don't think either apply but for the life of me I can't see any dirt and neither an my software. I don't understand the low contrast comment.

Hi,
The contrast of this one looks ok to me but it looks bit of underexposed to me. Besides, this one does have a dirty spot.I equalize this on in my own PS and here is the result :

It's not so obvious but the decision of screener(Dirty) is correct i think.

Cheers,
Harry

Thanks Harry, I appreciate you taking the time. I still struggle a bit to see it and I wonder if you had to do this to see it, is it missing the point. No way can I see it on the "original". Are they not screening the photo as presented?

Are they not screening the photo as presented?

I think it depends. Some screeners will not Equalize the photo in PS or somewhere to check the halo or dirty points (I think most of them will not) because when from an objective perspective to see, when people visit the website and see you picture no matter large size or small size they will not download it to see if there are some
not obvious dirty points in your picture. So if the screener think at that way ... To be honest, i don' t think its obvious in the normal version and actually even in the Equalize version is not so clear to see i think. The above all are just my personal perspective.

Cheers,
Harry

We do not have the ability to equalize a photo during screening and the policy is that dust needs to be visible by the eye. In this case, I struggle to see the dust spot on the uploaded photo, even despite knowing where to look. I do agree the photo could use more contrast.
