Looks oversharpened to me. There are also visible halos around the entire aircraft.

I'd also add that it could stand being a fair bit brighter - looks a little dark to me and the contrast a touch harsh.

Thanks for the feedback! do you guys see any banding in the photo? One of the rejection reasons was for banding, the picture was taken with a Canon 1D X, a camera not known for any banding issues.

Yes, but it's not like any banding I've ever seen - not that I see it often. It's easily noticeable (along with the halos) if you equalize the photo.
