This one was rejected orginally for overexposure so I toned it down a but and now I am getting oversharpened.

It is not unusual when fixing one issue that other issues become apparent that also need to be addressed. For e.g. when increasing brightness, it is often necessary to also add some contrast. In doing so, it may create jaggies. You just have to examine each final result each time.
Re. your edited image, I see jaggies along the bottom of the fuselage by the nose and gear, the separation of the black and white paint by the nose, as well as on the titles. Overall the image looks contrasty to me which may be adding to the perception of oversharpening.

Your second edit looks better from a sharpness standpoint. However, the lighting is quite harsh and IMO degrades the quality of the image. I looked at the histogram and it shows over-exposure. I'd try toning down the brightness.

I agree with Jehan that the second version seems overexposed.

I downloaded this one and did a quick editing and see that it still has some space to be brighter. Besides, it seems little bit soft to me.

Brightness is fine for me. I agree with Harry in that it looks soft.

Level looks OK to me. Would benefit from some more sharpening on the windows, though.
