Is the sky ok in this shot?

Tue Sep 12, 2017 12:30 pm

I was slightly concerned about the sky in this shot. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hi,
I downloaded this one and check it in my PS with " Equalize " and see a little bit banding in the sky ( top part ).
Cheers,

Thanks, Harry. I guess I'm asking if it's acceptable and too visible without equalising?

That's one thing that's puzzled me. The screeners changing modes or applying filters to see supposed 'defects' which can't actually be seen in the final picture. What's the point, the photo is going to be shown without those applied?

We judge photos based on what we see. We don't use filters when screening or run photos through photoshop.

Hey Steve, the sky looks fine to me. The nforward fuselage perhaps a little soft/blurryish, but passable for me. Nice shot!

Hi, Kas. Thanks, I'll apply a bit more sharpening at the nose end.
