I went out to ARN yesterday morning for about two hours and had to deal with foggy conditions for about half that time. While I got some lovely sunny side-ons towards the end, I thought I'd get your opinions on this shot, as I have never tried uploading such an image before. I feel that it is somewhat unique as far as lighting goes. Thoughts?
tricky shot indeed. As it is the fuselage does look overexposed / blown out to me. The sky looks rather blotchy. Additionally towards the back it looks rather soft or better said blurry. I am sorry to say but I don't see this one making it. Maybe you have a sharper frame form that sequence?
Tricky shot indeed. The fuselage is marginally overexposed, but can likely be solved by toning down the highlights. Contrast isn;t that bad in my opinion, but could use a litte more.
Really appreciate all the feedback. I'm currently touring Copenhagen so I don't have much time for a re-edit at the moment, but I will certainly take your comments into consideration when I do tweak it.
I just got back to the States and have started to work on some of my shots from the trip. Below is my second attempt at LN-RKR. As you all suggested, I brought the exposure down a bit and then boosted the darks.
I took this yesterday on board AY5 from Helsinki to JFK. I've never attempted to get this kind of picture on the site so I'd appreciate your thoughts on this one as well.
concerning the SAS: Exposure Looks okay to me now, but it still has noise and sharpening issues. It really doesn't look the sharpest to me towards the back, and I am surprised no one else pointed this out.
Awesome motive on the window-shot!! As it is sharpening seems a bit variable to me, the wing is partly OS /partly soft to me, but I am not an expert on window shots.
