MKE717Spotter Pre-screening

Fri May 05, 2017 4:46 am

Its been a few years since I've tried uploading any photos, but now that I've got a new camera I figured I'd give it another shot. Let me know how these look, I'm not sure if I edited them incorrectly.

For some reason the color of the images is different after I uploaded them to ImageShack. Anyone know why? I edited them in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Hello,
Would you please go and have a look you camera setting, i doubt that you are using RGB to take photo so when you upload to website the color will be faded. If you are using RGB in your Camera i recommend you to change it to sRGB. But that's ok, after finishing all steps in Photoshop you can switch it in Photoshop.
It should be in :
Edit - Covert to Profile - Destination Space - Find sRGB there
You can have a try and then upload again and see whether the color turn to normal.
Cheers,
Harry

It was set to sRGB and it only gives me the option to change it to Adobe RGB. Should that solve the issue?

No, I used to use RGB and Uploaded to A.net then i found that the saturability is lower than the original one but when i changed to sRGB it became ok. Are you sure your Camera Setting has switched to sRGB ? If not you can change it in PS and the option can be changed there you just need to choose sRGB. Besides, you can upload to another website and see if the color become better.
Cheers,
Harry

Ok I made the changes you recommended. How do they look now?

BTW here are the originals. It seems like the color change occurs only after I edit them in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Thanks for your help.

The color is become normal now ! Nice !
The level and center of the 738 seems ok for me now.
Regarding to the 747, the exposure is becoming better now but i think you can add some contrast to it.

Cheers,
Harry

The Norwegian pic got accepted so thanks a lot for your help with that!

However, the Air Force One shot was rejected for being overexposed. Should I try uploading that original edit?

Well, I think that is ok for me actually I don't know what screener's standard. You can have a try to appeal it if the decision still overexposed then you can do some changes I think.

The original edit of the AF1 is too purple colored. The one you uploaded may be a bit on the bright side, but the quality is also a bit so-so. I probably wouldn't appeal.

I toned down the exposure ever so slightly and it got accepted the second time through!
