Post-Screening: Noise, Heat haze, Oversharpening

Thu Mar 16, 2017 8:12 pm

I just had a good photo rejected for rejections I personally don't agree with: Noise, heat haze, over sharpening. I don't see any of them in the photo. See my photo here:

Where is the noise, heat haze and over sharpening? The aircraft that are the focus points don't have heat haze or over sharpened areas. The noise I also don't see because what you see in the background is caused by the engines of the aircraft and the background isn't the focus for this photo.

What do I need to correct here and thanks for your feedback.

Nice catch!
The only small part of haze that I could identify was maybe the nose gear, but it's not super bad and I'd say passable. Sharpening also looks passable to me, just like noise. However, the grass in the bottom right corner does look odd though. Did you use a lot of noise reduction?
