Using GoPro To Shoot Thru Airplane Windows

Has anyone used a GoPro to shoot video thru a passenger plane window? How would you keep it steady - do you use the sticky pad to stick the mount on the plastic side panel?

Yes,

Used it to shoot video. Better to use the suction cup mount.

How well does it stick on the plastic window? Does it fall off with changes in altitude? Also do the flight attendants have a problem with it?

It sticks ok with the suction mount - I've not had an issue with it falling off, even on a 12hr flight to Japan. Bigger issue then was the battery ran out and the mobile battery pack I had hooked up to it only charged the internal battery once, so I got about 4.5 hrs of footage. Only flight I've had an issue was when they said it had to be hand held for take off as that was what the electronic device regs stated.

This was shot as a video then speeded up to look like a timelapse.

That's a pretty cool video. Did you use the timelapse feature (take a photo every X seconds) or just record as video and then speed it up later? What did you mount it on for the video?

BTW, are you the lead singer for Sugar Ray?

In answer to your last question - No.

It was attached using the gopro suction mount.
This particular video was shot as a video and then speeded up in editing to give it the timelapse look.
