Am I Able To Use APS In A Plane?

Fri Feb 11, 2000 12:16 pm

I wonder if I am able to use an Advanced Photo System (APS) camera in a plane? I know I'm not allowed to use digital cameras and video cameras, but I know I could use 35mm cameras. What about APS? I use a Nikon Pronea 6i camera that uses IX240 film. IX means that you can print dates and small messages on the picture.

Thanks to those who reply!

PS-There is a little LCD screen on my camera that gives me info on the camera.
Maybe I'm only able to use APS during cruise only.

Sure...you can use an APS camera on the plane. It's not much different than a 35mm camera. It does qualify as an 'electronic device' though, so you will be told not to use it during take off and landing.

And yes, you can use a digital camera too...I use one all the time for in-flight shots.

Sure you can - I have a very similar camera (The Canon IX) and i've never been told to switch it off at any time.

Happy shooting!
