I'm having problems transfering pictures to my computer whith the scanner, the file gets huge, like 2mb a pic!!! Eaven when I save it in .JPG format!
Can anybory help me please?

what resolution (dpi) are you using to scan the photo? the higher the setting, the larger the file is going to be

I'm using only 400 dpi resolution!
the picture doesent get large only in size (kb) but also in size (pixels, cm)

It makes sense for the pixel size of the picture to be larger when you're scanning at 400dpi... but I still can't explain why the file size is around 2mb...
When I scan a regular 4x6 photo, I use 300dpi... the final scan produces an image that is about 1800 pixels wide... then I use Photoshop to reduce it to anywhere between 800 and 1000 pixels.
So i guess what I'm saying is no matter how big the file is after you scan it.... use an image editing program to reduce the pixel width.... the final file size should be between 50-100kb after you save it.... definitely no more than 150kb. (assuming you're not scanning anything bigger than a regular size photo)
