Hi, it's my first ever post on this community.
I'm planning to go to Russsia next year for MAKS 2019, and I've read some posts on online that inside the airport, you have to shoot through the sun.
Then what's the alternative? Should I hire a taxi and a driver and how does it work in Russia...? Or is there a way to walk around the airport?
If you've been there please give me tips. Thanks

I've gone 3 times (2007, 2011, 2012). Yes, if you stay inside you shoot directly into the sun. There is a road that goes around to the other side, and a small grass clearing behind the tower (outside the fence) is usually full of photographers. You can hire a taxi, or use public transportation to get almost there, and walk the remaining 1km or so. I have heard this spot is sometimes inaccessible because the police block the road on some of the days. But it is worth trying.
Alternatively you can pay to go to the photographer platform inside the airport. From what I know they have it on the other side of the runway with good light. I haven't sued it personally.
