Sony SX10 Mk IV

Fri Nov 09, 2018 2:16 pm

Hi. Does anybody use the Sony SX10 Mk IV for aviation photography? Is it good enough for aviation photography, especially capturing fast moving aircraft?

Do you mean the RX10 IV? If so, yes, it's a perfectly good single lens camera. You can't change focus while zooming, otherwise the AF is very snappy and the IQ is good for good-light situations. It can keep up well with its 20FPS frame rate.

I genuinely value shooting with this camera and in the wake of owning it for eight months and using it a couple of times every week I am still continually finding new things it can do. I use it chiefly for nature photography. I finish a huge amount of handheld introduction separating and scene sewing, and starting late a lot of closeup wildflower photography at 600mm, which took some getting to be familiar with anyway feels basic now. It's been exorbitantly fun and I'll be genuinely fascinated to see what the Mk V looks like, paying little heed to whether I likely won't refresh until at any rate the Mk 6; after all they are expensive. Get security, notwithstanding—the certainties exhibit that I've been difficult for mine, and yet the realities show that for the latest month it has been keeping up around 1 out of various occasions that I turn it on, anticipating that me should finish a lot of load inner circle researching to make it work yet again. I should send it in. Fabricate quality should be better—if Sony needs $1700 for a platform cam, quality should be ensured. I will express that when it's working, it works impeccably.
