new trend - no info with pictures?

Sun Sep 02, 2018 6:36 am

I noticed that recently loads of uploads don't come with information anymore about the picture. For me, a big.lack as I like the extra information. Now, moatly a '-' ... nothing.

Why is that?

What kind of information are you looking for? Of course you can always contact the photographer if you have specific questions about a photo.

You mean no Photographer Remark? I wouldn't say that's necessarily a new thing; some photogs just don't tend to leave any remarks.

Personally, I wish they would, but no big deal.

People used to complain that the remarks were about trying to get photo views or advertising for another website/company (eg, those photocrew air to air shots). Now people don't put remarks and people still complain.

I would whish some more remarks, too.I agree that if one shoots a BA320 landing at LHR or an LH320 in FRA that it doesn't need a remark, but there are certainly more special shots where I think quite a few people would appreciate some comment to it. Like why was that happening or why was that unusual plane visiting that airport.

That hit seeking discussion for remarks was a bit over the top in my eyes. Everyone knows that there are quite a few more effective ways to gather views than by some comments. For me such is a non-issue.
I can only say that I always appreciate some remarks. Those that (for unknown reasons) don't like them, don't need to read them.
