Founders Plaza DFW?
I will be in Dallas for a few days in June...Is Founders Plaza at DFW still operating and is it decent spot for photography and general plane spotting? Thanks!

Yes, but only if they're in south flow (which they will be 95% of the time in June). You'll see the Qantas 388 land on the west side if you're there in the early afternoon. Be prepared for lots of AA, though! Haha.

Anywhere to photograph in the morning? I was there in 2007, don't remember anywhere really.

If you have a car you can get some morning approach shots for runway 17C and 17R near the shell gas station at Freeport Pkwy and N Air Field Drive and Also try end of E 14th St which I think is one street further up after you pass under the freeway. I would only use these spots for special or interesting movements where you stop get the shot and move on, I don't think they are used as long term spotter hang out areas due to restricted or no parking in the streets. If you are staying in the hotels near this area can always walk to the spots.
I spent the majority of my spotting time at Founders Plaza which is certainly a great spot to enjoy the afternoon plane spotting from.
