Please take a moment to consider this contest! It is a privately funded endeavor, and all permissions and copyrights are retained by the photographers. There are three prizes, and they are substantial:
1st place: $5,000
2nd place: $3,000
3rd place: $2,000
Guidelines:
All photographs must be taken from the air: from a plane, helicopter, glider, or drone. The concept of this contest was based on cloudscapes, however, the subject matter of the entries can also include weather systems, sunrises or sets, electrical storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, starscapes, phenomena, and other aircraft, but all entries must meet the initial criteria of photographs taken from the air of subjects in the air.
Schedule:
The cutoff for entries is 22 July 2018. Finalists will be announced on 11 August 2018 and published on Facebook and Instagram. The contest winners – chosen by a private panel of photographers – will be decided on 19 August 2018.
Submissions:
Photos for consideration need to be non-watermarked, hi-resolution images sent via email to AirToAirContest@gmail.com. Only the original photographer of the image can submit it for consideration. By submitting an image by email, you agree to allow the photo to be published on our non-commercial Facebook and non-commercial Instagram contest pages. Images will never be sold or used for commercial purposes, and all photographers will retain all copyright permissions for their images.
