Priority Screening Question

Sat Mar 10, 2018 3:15 pm

Hi,

I have a shot from inside the A concourse at KTUL and I'm wondering if this qualifies for priority screening since there are no other shots from inside the airport? This shot would be the only shot showing the inside of the airport in the database.

Thanks!

[you can ask if your photo qualify for priority sending an email for priorityscreening@airliners.net.]

If you read number 3, there is this point about airports:

3. The following subjects will NOT be given priority screening:

New type of aircraft for airline – untitled.
First visit of non-newsworthy airline/type to an airport.

You can also justify in the field if you can affirm that your shot is rare or something in this way and deserve priority screening.

Here is the complete A.net Guidelines for priority screening:

1. The following subjects will be given priority screening and will qualify for a Newsbanner on the front page:

New type of aircraft, except ultralights and homebuilts.
New type of aircraft for airline - in full scheme, including sub-types, i.e. 737-700, 737-900.
First flight for 1 above.
New cabin design.
New color scheme for airline (including different types and sub-types – i.e. 737-700, 737-900).
New special colors (IE retro jets, logo jets, colorful one-offs), including sub-types, i.e. 737-700, 737-900.
New type for an armed force.
New colourful special for a military aircraft (including tail only, even not highly visible, including camo).
Accident or incident (accident or incident must be visible in the picture. Burst tires or missing winglets etc do not qualify) – Banner at screeners discretion. After a crash we will only accept pictures where the crash is visible in the picture. We will not accept shots of the aircraft in question taken before the crash.

2. The following subjects will be given priority screening, but will NOT qualify for a newsbanner on the front page:

New type of aircraft for airline – hybrid.
First flights for 2 in the preceding paragraph above.
New aircraft for airline – in full scheme (new registration or manufacturer reusable registration). Museum, restored or permanent display aircraft won’t qualify.
New type of aircraft for airline – hybrid.
Delivery flights of new aircraft/registration for airline – in full scheme.
New registration for an armed force. Museum, restored or permanent display aircraft won’t qualify.
First visits of newsworthy aircraft (at screeners discretion).
Major Airshows (Paris, Farnborough, Berlin, Dubai, MAKS only!) Note: priority will only be given during show days.

3. The following subjects will NOT be given priority screening:

New type of aircraft for airline – untitled.
First visit of non-newsworthy airline/type to an airport.

Please read the following notes:

Priority screening is given up to 24 hours after the first shot was added.

Only the first shots will be added to the banner, to reward those who come to a.net first.

All of the above priority rules are at screeners discretion and subject to change.

For the record, he did E-mail us and it was discussed. The consensus was that such photos do not warrant priority screening.
