Hi,
I've been lurking in these forums for a while, and now the time's come to start my first thread.
I'm originally from Kolkata, India, but I moved to Munich last January. Munich's airport seems to be extremely spotter-friendly, with viewing galleries inside and outside the perimeters, accessible from both the autobahn and the train station, so I'm planning to go out there and try some aviation photography.
I couldn't seem to find out online forums where planespotting meetups are organised (or I don't know where to look). Does anyone know where I can find people online who're interested in such an activity, and then plan and go to the airport together to have a planespotting and photography session?

I suggest you head out to the airport, either south side hill or the central hill, there is a ton of photographers or spotters (this is not the same for me) out there on a sunny day,
Google MUC Forum, but never been active there. Also, sign up to Instagram and there is ton of "spotters" active in Munich, I am sure a meet up can be set up. Good luck.

I don't think such thing as planespotting meetups exist here in Germany. But there are always tons of planespotters around, as it is widespread hobby these days (so any organised stuff isn't really needed, the area around the airport is very safe an Police is usuall spotter-friendly).
So whenever you go out to the usual spotting locations there will be tons of spotters out on a sunny day.
So I would just go out and normally you will get in contact with others...you don't really need to be lucky for that, it would be hard to avoid.
