G-20 Gemany 2017 Plane Spotting at Hamburg Airport

The G20 summit under the German Presidency will be held on 7 and 8 July 2017 in Hamburg. The 20 heads of state and government and top-level representatives of international organisations will meet at Hamburg Messe, the city’s exhibition and trade fair centre.

I booked a trip to be in Hamburg for G-20.

I was in Nice (Côte d'Azur) during 2011 G-20 in November that year. I got some really good pictures of all the planes around the airport during G-20 time. There wasn't too many restrictions at the time. All the planes were easily visible. Most of them were parked at the same gates with the normal traffic. Even the "hidden" ones were easily accessible by looking around and asking airport staff.

Are there A.netters who are planning to be at Hamburg Airport for the heads of state aircraft arrivals? I suppose most of them will be arriving the day before the summit?

Any idea what kind of restrictions they are going to have around the airport and where they will park the G-20 officials airplanes?

This is the airport information with all the spotting places.

Hamburg G-20 plane spotters, please make yourselves known. A group meeting is always nice.
Can always share useful tips and info and meet for drinks.

Thank you.

From the latest I have heard, it seems that a number of VVIP aircraft, including Air Force One might be sent to Finkenwerder airport due to the lack of space at Hamburg airport and the number of expected aircraft, maybe also for security reasons.

Transport aircraft taking the equipment of the delegations such as the US presidential limousines are on their way to Hamburg, maybe they are even already there.

Any news updates from Hamburg spotters most welcome. Thank you very much in advance.
