Colourful WizzAir Olympic Bid went to Maastricht for five or six days

Fri May 12, 2017 9:59 am

Hello

As you may have noticed Wizz Air is rapidly growing its fleet of Airbus 321. One of them I have long tried to catch when at NYO Stockholm-Skavsta.

Anybody knowing why it went to Maastricht recently for so many days out of service? To be repainted back to normal colour scheme? Oh no, in such a case!

Best wishes

FR24 is showing it as active but as Hungary have dropped their Olympic bid, I suspect HA-LXJ is one borrowed time!

Oh no, you mean it may have been repainted into the usual company colours at Maastricht. Thanks all the same.
If so this will be the only glimpse I got of the colourful bird:

But still, I think, HA-LXJ and HA-LYG are showing the Olympic colours.
Anybody knows where they are based now?

LXJ was seen at Barcelona recently - yesterday or the day before - back in standard WizzAir livery. Sad but true.

And here is a photo to prove that HA-LXJ is back in the revised but normal livery, sad to say:

It was taken a month after it came to Maastricht.
