KLIA Terminal Spotting

Sun Mar 05, 2017 9:05 am

Hi all,

I am visiting Kuala Lumpur in a month and I am wanting a few shots of widebodies pulling into gates at the Satelite terminal. Problem is I am flying out of KL on MH782 which is a 737 meaning it will be from the main terminal and not the satelite terminal. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to catch the Aero Train and back. I had tried something similar in Incheon but found out the hard way that it was a oneway train system and I could only get back to the main terminal with a security escort. Could anyone enlighten me? Thanks.

Yes, it would be possible for you to catch the Aero Train to satellite terminal and back again to main terminal. But I'm not sure if there is a good spot in satellite terminal if you don't enter the gate. I have few widebodies photos at satellite terminal in database and all of them was taken from inside the gates.
Since I'm not KUL-based aviation photographer, maybe you can contact local aviation photographer that can help provide more information.

Best regards,
