Create Your Own Airline V2

Mon Jan 29, 2007 6:15 pm

I just joined a.net today and this will be my first post  Smile

This topic/game first started back in the late days of June, so i have decided to start a 2007 version. It won't be hard.

The games starts in 2000

You start off with: 1 billion for each airline

Here's what you have to do:

1. Choose your airline name and create a logo for your airline (optional)

2. You must choose if you want to be a Low Cost, Major or Cargo

3. Choose your hub/base (Only 1 till you pass 10mil pax)

4. Buy planes for your airline. Here are the rules for buying planes:

CAT 1: Regional Aircraft eg: CRJ, Dash 8
CAT 2: Short Haul Airliner eg: 737, 320
CAT 3: Medium Haul Airliner eg: 767, 330, 757
CAT 4: Long Haul Airliner eg: 747, 777, 340

Low Cost airlines can only have CAT 2 & 3
Major airlines can have all four
Cargo airlines can have 2, 3 & 4

*Aircraft like 380, 787 can only be bought from 2006 (380) 2007 (787) (game time)

5. Once you have bought your planes you must choose your seats to have onboard. Seats can be made up or from a real airline. Seats must be 1990's style. Also what will your seat config be.

6. Choose your routes. Here are the rules for creating your routes:

Turnaround times:
CAT 1: MIN 15 mins MAX 30 mins
CAT 2: MIN 30 mins MAX 50 mins
CAT 3: MIN 55 mins MAX 1.5 hrs
CAT 4: MIN 1.8 hrs MAX 2.4 hrs

7. Set up a lounge at your hub and focus cities*

*Lounges must first be set up at hub

8. Update!

Lets get this started!

P.S This version of Create Your Own Airline is easier than my friend QFA380 who made the first version.

To make it easy, these are the cost of the planes:

CAT 1: $15mil
CAT 2: $45mil
CAT 3: $80mil
CAT 4: $125mil

I also forgot to add this:

To get gates at the airports you want to fly to you have to give 5 points for each gate. You start of at 2000 points. (You don't have to give points to get gates at your hub.

RE: Create Your Own Airline V2

There has been spreaded rumours that BKK will become a hub for the airline. The airline has three destinations (HKG, KUL, SIN). The airline has announced that BKK will have long haul flights but declined the fact of BKK becoming a hub for the airline. Rumoured long haul destinations from BKK included: LHR, ADL, SFO & NRT. The airline said because of this they are considering making a BKK hub. The CEO of the airline said this, "BKK is a great city & is a great place for a airline hub. Even though, TG are hubbed there we think that our airline will do pretty well." The airline has also said that a name change may come effective soon, "The airline will probably spread as it gets bigger. At the moment the airline has 26 aircraft and we are aimed for 50-60 maybe even more. Once more aircraft are delivered we might be spreading to another city across the world. The airline name would have to change, but haven't came up with a name yet." The CEO of the airline is now on a trip across the world to visit various cities for another hub.

RE: Create Your Own Airline V2

Mon Feb 12, 2007 3:34 pm

The CEO of the airline today announced the new hubs to come for the airline. As we've already heard BKK will become one. SFO will be the other hub for airline and will start flights soon with the order of new aircraft.

Ordered aircraft:

Airbus 340-500: 8 more to serve routes from BKK, SFO & more HKG routes.
Airbus 340-600: 2 to serve routes from HKG & SFO
Boeing 777-200LR: 6 more to serve routes from BKK & SFO
Boeing 737-900: 12 to serve routes from SFO & BKK
Boeing 767-300ER: 4 to serve routes from SFO

New routes for flights from SFO include: LAX, DEN, DFW, SLC, Portland, JFK, ATL, MIA, LHR, BKK, ICN, HNL & TPE.
New routes for flights from BKK include: HKT, PEK, TPE, ADL, NRT & ICN.
New routes for flights from HKG include: LGW & CPH.

I will not be posting any more schedules as it would take up alot of my time.

Hi, can I join the game?

I got few questions 'bout the game, such as how long is one year? since the game started on 2000, and 380 is available after 2006, whereas 787 is available 2008. Is there any limit on aircraft order? Can I just say that New Airline starts with 100 738w order and 20 77W?

The fast expanding airline has not announced when it will start operations but they did announce that they are in talk with Airbus and Boeing for more aircraft.

Global International Airways has received 5 Airbus 320 for short hops from SFO. The A320s will operate to LAX, SEA & LAS.

A new hub has been announced! The new hub will GIG. This new hub will have flights to: SYD, LIM, JFK, MIA, HKG via SYD, LAX & LHR. 2 Airbus 340-500 have been ordered along with 3 Boeing 777-200LR & 3 Airbus 330-300.

Here is the route map for the GIG routes:

One of the objectives of the airline is to have a hub in each continent. The airline is now looking to find a hub for Asia. The best possible cities to become the Asian hub are: HKG, SIN, PEK or BKK.

Possible cities for hubs in Oceania are: SYD, ADL or MEL. All in Australia but are all served by the airline either from SFO or GIG or both.

Possible cities in Europe are: LHR, FRA, CDG, LGW, CPH, HEL or MAD. Only three of these cities are served by the airline currently but the others are still possible to become a hub for the airline.

Possible cities in Africa are: JNB. The airline has no intentions for a hub in any other African city. JNB will be a hub shortly.
