Where can I buy ATC recievers so i can listen to the ATC at the airport.

You can get a very good model at radio shack to listen to air traffic control. The PRO-71 is listed at $89 (just about the cheapest you can find) and is easy to use and durable. I got one for listening to ATC and it has served me greatly. Good luck.

You can go two different ways here. If your budget is limited a more conventional receiver (with a dial) may be your best choice.It may get any or all of FM, AM, or shortwave as well. I use a Realistic "Patrolman SW-60". The dial is reasonably accurate but the selectivity (how well it separates stations close together on the dial) isn't the greatest. I does fairly well most of the time. The other option is a scanner. With several memory presets you could very quickly switch between the different controllers to follow a particular a/c. Of course you can scan too if you just want to grab anything. Scanners are also usually more compact but unfortunately their price usually isn't. Either way it will make for some good listening.
