Taxi2Gate SEA problem - multiple AI parking at same gate

Sun Oct 08, 2017 3:38 pm

I've reached out to Taxi2Gate regarding a problem where AI aircraft will park at occupied gate spaces after landing at SEA. I've checked the ADE files, and could not find any instances of multiple ADE files, nor could I find missing hold short nodes and all runway start locations are defined. Does anyone else have this problem using FSX?

I should also add that I don't have this problem at any other busy airport, so I'm not sure what is making this scenery stand out.

Almost certainly missing a hold short node at the runway exit point. Check underneath the visible network by moving some nodes, afcads are usually 'multilayered' these days.

Thanks ChrisKen. When you say "multilayered", does that mean there might be overlapping nodes?

Quite often afcad designers will layer up different networks on top of each other for various reasons (usually for different traffics flows or drive through parking).
Basically there'll be a few lines/nodes stacked on top of each other for functionality (don't mess with them if that's the case).
I'd hazard a guess a hold short node has been missed off one or more of these runway connections, this would cause the pile up on one parking spot. Insert hold short nodes as required.

I checked each of the hold short nodes applied by moving them a few feet, and I did not find any overlapping nodes. No problems with aircraft taking off, it's just impacting arrivals only. All arriving aircraft are communicating with ATC and getting gate assignments.
