Good evening guys,

Hello everyone,

A long time without any update in these treads. Have had a very busy fall of last year, so have not been too good at keeping these treads up to date. However, hoping that 2018 will turn out better, I’ll start this year with some new models from last fall.

From Oceania we have:

1:400

airnorth Embraer E170 VH-ANO
Regional Express (REX) SAAB 340 VH-REX

Image
Image
VH-ANO, 12-year-old Embraer 170, originally delivered to Hong Kong Express in 2005 as B-KXB. In 2007, she entered service with airnorth with the name of “Savannah”.

Image
Image
VH-REX, a 22-year-old SAAB 340, this aircraft built in 1996 was originally built in 1996 to American Eagle; she joined REX in May 2010 as the 25th SAAB.

Please enjoy :)

Did you modify these in any way, or are these new editions of older models?

Hello everyone,

A new update of customs for the Oceanian tread, all completed during the autumn months of 2017. This time including the following.

1:400

Alliance Air Fokker F100 VH-XWM
Virgin Australia “AFL” VH-AFL
Virgin Australia “GCS” VH-GCS

Image
Image
VH-XWM, a 28-year-old Fokker F100 today operating for Alliance Air since September 2010. This aircraft has seen service with five airlines during its life. Starting in the US in 1989, going to Germany in 2003 and now finding her in Australia.

VH-GCS and VH-AFL, an improved version of the “Gold Coast Suns” and “Australian Football League” football livery of 2011. Virgin Blue painted two Boeing 737, VH-VUY and VH-VUZ, in these types of sponsored liveries. However, this model is an improved version of this livery with the new Virgin Australia tail, stripes on the engines and a few more details.

Please enjoy :)

G’day

News for the Oceanian tread for April includes some new versions of the AFL series.

VH-WCE and VH-FRE, after the improved version of the “Gold Coast Suns” and “Australian Football League” football livery from 2011, we here see a “Westcoast Eagles” and “Fremantle Dockers” model. Virgin Blue painted two Boeing 737, VH-VUY and VH-VUZ, in these types of sponsored liveries. These, however, are improved versions of the liveries on a Virgin Australia livery. Originally, Virgin did not paint sponsor liveries of these of these teams. Hear we, however, see how they could have looked if painted and in an improved version with the new Virgin Australia tail, stripes on the engines and a few more details.

Please enjoy :)

Hello!

One airline but different liveries this month, and only from Australia too.

Qantas Boeing 747-300
Qantas Boeing 737-400

VH-EBV, The Boeing 747-338 from Qantas with the name “City of Geraldton”, was originally delivered to Qantas in April 1985, then with the name “City of Melbourne”; she received the name “Geraldton” in 1989, and “City of Geraldton” two years later. She flew with Qantas until December 2008, when the Airbus A380 replaced the last Boeing 747-300. For a short period during 2005, she was leased to Garuda Indonesia.

VH-TJO, a 25-year-old Boeing 737-476, originally delivered to Australian Airlines in July 1992 and named Lorikeet, she was transferred to Qantas a little over a year late. She was one of few Boeing 737-400 with Qantas that received the new 2008 livery, as seen here. After operation with Qantas for 19 years, she was then flown to the Victorville and Miami for conversion into a freighter in mid-2012. Registered in September 2012 to Irish Air Contractors as EI-STB. Still based in Europe, but now in Belgium with Austrian registration OE-IAJ, she has been in operation with TNT and later ASL Belgium since August 2015.

Wow, some stunning work there! Out of interest, would you ever be open to selling one of the models, or having one commissioned?
