Hello everyone,

As a consequence of the problems with Photobucket and for easier sorting of the big variety of my models I now split up my models into different treads depending on the origin of the custom in question.

Here we have the Middle Eastern customs tread, starting of with ATA and Iran Air MD-80.

Finally, for tonight, I have a small update with a single model with only a small registration change, however, on a fairly big aircraft, the A380, however, in the small scale of 1:500.

Emirates Airbus A380 A6-EEL

Hello everyone,

A long time without any update in these treads. Have had a very busy fall of last year, so have not been too good at keeping these treads up to date. However, hoping that 2018 will turn out better, I’ll start this year with some new models from last fall.

From the Middle East we have:

Emirates Airbus A380s
Emirates Boeing 777F “Red Rose” A6-EFL
flydubai Boeing 737 MAX8 A6-MAX
Kuwait Airways Boeing 777-300ER “National Day” 9K-AOE

A6-EDP, A6-EON, A6-EUG, A6-EUH, A6-EUK and A6-EUL a small part of the Emirates fleet of 101 Airbus A380s. These six aircraft were delivered in 2011, 2015 and 2016 respectively.

A6-EFL, a four-year-old 777F, delivered to Emirates in 2013, ferried to Hong Kong on delivery and receiving a special “Red Rose” livery in September 2017.

A6-MAX, the first 737 MAX8 for flydubai, delivered on July 31st 2017.

9K-AOE, a 2016 Boeing 777-300ER belonging to Kuwait Airways. This particular aircraft received a special “National and Liberation Day” livery in February 2017.

Hello everyone,

News for the Middle East customs in April includes some more re-registered models as well as some full repaints.

Zagros Air Airbus A320

A6-EOJ, Delivered to Emirates in June 2015 62nd Airbus A380 to the airline. Seen here featuring the new Dubai 2020 Expo logo.

A6-EOK, Delivered to Emirates in July 2015 63nd Airbus A380 to the airline.

YK-AZA, 17-year-old Airbus A340-312, originally delivered to Cathay Pacific in January 2001 with registration B-HXL. In 2011, she entered service with SriLankan Airlines as 4R-ADG and flew here until August 2015. After some transferees and sales between 2015 and 2017, she was finally able to arrive with her new owner, Syrian Arab Airlines in February 2017.

UR-CNK, a 25-year-old Airbus A320-211 delivered to Air Canada on June 22nd, 1993 with registration C-FNNA. She has since then operated with Air Comet with registration EC-KBM from February 2007 until 2010, Israir as 4X-ABH in 2010, SmartLynx as YL-LCH from 2010 until 2015 and leased to numerous airlines during this time. In March 2015 she was delivered to Dart as UR-CNK, was leased to Zagros Air the same year. She was in June 2016 fully taken up by Zagros Air as EP-ZAU.

9K-AOH, Delivered to Kuwait Airways in March 2017 and named Warbah.

Hello everyone,

For the new Middle Eastern customs this month we see yet again some models with minor changes and some with major.

Kuwait Airways Boeing 777-300ER (x2)
Iran Aseman Airlines Airbus A340-300

9K-AOK, Delivered to Kuwait Airways in June 2017 and named Auhah.

9K-AOJ, Delivered to Kuwait Airways in May 2017 and named Bubiyan.

EP-APA, the oldest Airbus A340-300 in commercial service, this is the second Airbus A340 ever built and was originally a testbed and demo aircraft for Airbus with registration F-WWAS from February 1992. In May 1997, she was delivered to Virgin Atlantic, registered G-VHOL and named “Jetstreamer”. She was sold to Iran Aseman Airlines in January 2012, registered EP-APA and received the name “Persian Gulf” still fitted with the Virgin Atlantic interior.
