Hi all,

my partner will have about 18 hours on a Thursday in Frankfurt while we wait for our flight home which departs at 22:00. My partner & I are aviation enthusiasts. My partner loves the 747 while my favourite aircraft is the A340 (I also like the MD-11). I think that she should be able to see plenty of her beloved 747's at FRA while I would only be able to see the A340-300 unless we're lucky enough to be at the airport when SAA's A340-600 comes in.

We are looking for some aviation related activities to participate in. We are already booked on the XXL Airport tour on the previous Saturday as well as a 1 hour tour on the Thursday afternoon.

Are there any other activities we could experience? What is the planespotting like at Frankfurt Airport?

Are there any local planespotters who might wish to spend some time with us. I speak German fluently. Although I was born in Australia, it was the first language I could speak and I still speak it with my parents when I see them.

Any other thoughts/suggestions?

That should have read "My partner & I will have about 18 hours...."

I´d personally be able to do that only at weekends unless I´m on holiday myself.
So, without a specific date I can´t tell whether or not I´ll be availlable ...
