Amenity kits past, present and future
I have collected amentity kits throughout the years and have been fascinated by their evolution over time. Originally they were referred to as "RON" (rest overnight) practical kits likely intended for long flights with multiple intermediate stops. Over the years they have become a symbol of the airlines brand with many airlines one-upping another with lines of luxury products. Which airlines have had the best kits and where will amenity kits go in the future? What would the ideal kit look like and include?

I've gotten a few. Some have been decent quality stuff and some have been crap. The one constant is they've all contained a razor that wouldn't cut warm butter.

Collected quite a lot from my past flights. (Now I need a whole cupboard to house them!) Love the new AirFrance FC, blue or orange amenity kits! Stylish and useful 'boxes' with great contents. The old VARIG FC amenity kits are jam-packed with useful stuff.
Some notable airlines, like Singapore; don't have kits for BC. But their FC kits just mainly contain high-class colognes.
Perhaps, that's the direction, it going to go; the kits are seen more as 'gifts'. All the useful inflight stuff ( toothbrushes...etc) are readily available in the lavatories.

To those who collect the kits: interested in buying a few? Does it matter if all of the original contents are still in the kit?
On another note, I was surprised to see a (Chopard) kit offered by TK long-haul Y.
