Similar plane pairs and how to tell them apart?

Thu Apr 13, 2017 6:58 pm

I'm working on a little project which is a very simple aircraft recognition spreadsheet/tree, and i realised that i need some help.
I would really appreciate if you posted similar airplanes (like IL-76 and AN-124 (size does not matter °¿°)) and how to tell them apart (in this instance T-tail X normal tail). Well this was a bad example, but stuff like A340 and IL-96 is more what this thread is about.
Needless to say that it's about civil jetliners only.
I am looking for stuff like "THIS plane has THIS which differs it from THIS plane, which is otherwise very similar.
I am very bad at explaining stuff, si ask if you need.
Also, i will credit you in the tree if i use info from you c:
