FS2004 Payware Opinions: A320, 757, 767, MD80

Tue Jan 17, 2017 5:57 am

Hi everyone,

Just hunting for some opinions on FS2004 payware aircraft: A320, B757, B767, MD-80. I did a search but the threads I found were several years old by now.

Not looking to break the bank; also not looking for something that will take 45 minutes to preflight and get into the air. I'm a real-world USAF C-17 pilot so I can get all that preflighting enjoyment fun at work haha.

A quick-ish, framerate-friendly, real-enough kind of setup with a nice model, nice panel, and JetBlue paint (A320) and TWA paint (757, 767, MD-80) is what I'm looking for.

Thanks!

FlySail

PS: Here's the freeware I've been flying for the last several years, so if any comparison to them could be provided that'd be great too:

Project Airbus A320 with Ken Mitchell panel
Project Opensky B757 with Francisco Silva panel
Project Opensky B767 with Francisco Silva panel
SkySpirit B767 with Francisco Silva panel
SGA MD-80 with Lonny Payne panel

There is a reason for the post being years old, not many people are using FS 2004 anymore and almost all new add ons are for FSX, PD3 or Xplane.

As for suggestions for FS9, check out qualitywings 757, Level D 767 and Flight1 MD-80.

I migrated from FS9 to FSX years ago, but a lot of software is still compatible with both. I quite enjoy the JustFlight/CLS aircraft, their MD80 and 146 are both great to fly..no long and complex pre-flight programming needed, but they are still good quality aircraft.

also you can consider wilco airbuses (or 320 air simmer, but mine always crashed so I lost faith in it)..
for MD80, strongly suggest maddog's.

... and definitely worth to look at ... ifly's 737 and 747

Cheers,

QW757 is the best bang for the buck in the FS9 world.... However, If your computer can handle it, I'd upgrade to P3D V3. Its Fantastic.
