Sky Harbor international info?

Wed Oct 05, 2016 4:38 am

Hey guys, This is my fist post and my topic is strange...I know. I collect 1/200 scale airplanes and I started about 15 years ago. I use to stand outside in Mesa Arizona and watch the planes in and out of Sky harbor as a kid. This is also when my collection started. My question to you all is.....Is there a way to find an order of popularity (due to most flights through sky harbor) I want to purchase the remaining planes based off of popularity through the airport. I don't think there is a way to order airlines by flight numbers, but I hope I'm wrong?! thanks for any info.

I'm going to simplify this post, because I figured no one could accurately answer my request. What out of these airlines do you think would be most popular at sky harbor: Boutique air, Frontier, Great lakes, Hawaiian, Jet blue, Spirit, Sun country or West jet? I would love to have a poll available. Even if you don't know for sure tell me your best guess. They listed airlines are ones I don't yet have.

I'll try.

I would say Hawaiian has probably been there the longest, but only one flight per day. Sun Country has also been there for a while but only seasonally until recently. Spirit and Westjet are relatively new. Then again I suppose jetBlue is also relatively new. Frontier has been there for a while with flights to DEN and with the growth recently is probably the largest of those carriers.

Great Lakes and Boutique are very small operations and I would guess finding models for their aircraft would be a challenge. Great Lakes maybe but Boutique flies a Pilatus PC-12 not your typical model aircraft, but not impossible to find.

@mpdpilot Thank you for your response. I have to say I agree with all you said. I went ahead and placed an order for a A319 Frontier. I know they have been around for a minute and have various #of flights through PHX. I may try and find a Hawaiian next, but I don't know what all models are produced by them.?
