Auto throttle - taxi - 737 - FSX

The other day I was flying the 738 on FSX and while taxing (KSMF) I set the auto throttle at 15 knots while taxing down one of SMF's long taxiways. Is this ever done in real life?

No, A/T is for inflight use only.

IIRC it wouldn't evel let you select such a low speed.

If you push auto throttle on ground. It goes off alarm it is invalid using while ground. It is only in-flight.

It might work in a default airplane, but certainly won't work in the real airplane or a realistic addon.

Besides that it doesn't work there's also a reason it's not done in real life, you always need to be ready for a sudden brake in case something happens in front of you.
