Anyone have any info, other than that from the website, about these engines? Such as how far they are into development, and what their competion is. Also, if you have some specifications, that would be nice too.

They are about 25% through their "design" phase. I don't believe that they have been run yet.

This is a terrific idea for two competitors like GE & P&W to come together with their best engineers to design and market an engine that will benefit the both of them.

When i read about "competition" against Pratt & Whitney and G&E , I instantly ran to Rolls Royce. RR's engine is the Trent 900 with a power range from 69000-84000 lbs. of thrust and intended for the A3XX. check : http://www.rolls-royce.co.uk/civil/civilp004.htm
