Air Transat flight numbering change

Sun Nov 04, 2018 5:10 pm

Since this winter schedule change a few days ago, I've noticed that at least two of their routes have gone through such change. For years, their YYZ-LGW and YUL-CDG flights were numbered as 122, 222, 322, etc for the former and 110, 210, 310 and so on for the latter, the first digit indicating the day of flight. Knowing these two routes are part of their year-round services, I never understood the rational to do that, especially compared to what most airlines do.

Now, since last sunday YYZ-LGW-YYZ are operated everyday as TS122/123 and YUL-CDG-YUL as TS110/111. Perhaps there are others that have followed the same change.
